Here's what happened when the Kent Scouts took over Grosvenor Hall for a whole weekend.
On Friday 29th September, Grosvenor Hall Kingswood in Ashford welcomed a whopping 920 young people to for the annual Kent Cuboree.
The weekend ‘takeover’ gave the Kent Scouts exclusive full-site access, providing the ideal shared environment for kids to meet Cubs from all over Kent. This event was back for 2023 ‘by popular demand’, and our onsite team were overjoyed to see so many young people forming lifelong friendships and memories.
The weekend was ‘London Underground’ themed, with the Cubs split into activity groups that took on team challenges, games and the adrenaline-filled adventure park. Check out some highlights from their visit in this Kent Scout TV video (and listen out for that classic 3G Swing scream!).
The secret to a great trip: “Be Prepared”
Prior to the visit, our onsite activities co-ordinator worked closely with the Kent Scouts to put together programmes that kept every Cub busy, challenged and having fun all day long. We also put together a bespoke menu to offer catering that suited the groups’ needs.
