Book with Confidence has changed

Our children have missed out on so much in the last year, not only in teaching and learning, but in their social skills with their peers and the world as they knew it.

We are delighted to have received updated Government guidance that residential trips can resume from 17 May  (full guidance can be read here). We also know making a commitment to a trip right now carries more uncertainty than usual, but don’t worry, with Kingswood you can book with confidence for trips in both 2021 and 2022.

We have been working closely with our colleagues in the school travel sector, Government and a variety of other stakeholders to give you all the certainty you need. That said, we don’t want you to have to wait any longer to book and start looking forward to your next trip with us. That means we’ll offer full protection on all new monies paid to us from 1 February 2021 where your trip may be at risk due to Coronavirus.

Kingswood is offering to a) to move the booking to a later date, b) to move to a different centre or c) give a full refund of new monies paid from 1 February 2021, if the following conditions are preventing you from participating in the planned day trip or residential:

- Department for Education advises against residential trips
- Government has enforced a national lockdown
- Regional lockdown exists at the customer’s location, preventing travel
- Regional lockdown exists at the centre location preventing Kingswood from receiving guests
- An outbreak in the customer’s group leads to isolation protocols

Residential bookings

So why not treat them to the residential trip of a lifetime? This is where they can discover themselves again with activities such a leap of faith to encourage their confidence to grow; or Jacob's ladder where they can build up their resilience by climbing higher.

We have discovered that creating a learning environment outside the classroom helps students feel more engaged, attentive and even fuel more oxygen in the body. This is the learning environment that Kingswood always aspire to create for all our adventure seekers. With clear exciting curriculum links in each and every activity, returning to adventure with Kingswood will help accelerate learning and bring subjects to life. Plus, a trip to our centres brings children back together to learn and grow in our unique outdoor environments.

We've seen many 2020 bookings move to the 2021/2022 academic year, so some of our centres are already up to 80% full. Don't miss your chance to build character, resilience and confidence and so much more at Kingswood - contact our team to secure your space today.

The key steps we are taking to ensure everybody visits us safely are featured in our infographic. Download it here to share with parents, students and colleagues.

These include:

  • Respecting existing group bubbles
  • All team members are tested for covid twice weekly
  • Ensuring social distancing is adhered to, with reminders throughout our centres
  • Deep cleaning cycles and sanitiser stations. All equipment will be regularly sanitised according to the government’s regulations
  • PPE will be worn by our team when carrying out safety checks. We will always respect your wishes if you would like to wear your own face covering

We can’t wait to welcome everyone back to Kingswood and to create life changing adventures again for so many young people who have had a hugely challenging year. See you soon.
