Planning the perfect outdoor party for your child?
At Kingswood, we think outdoor adventure parities are the most fun! Follow our handy guide to find out how to make your child's birthday the best ever.
Select the perfect venue
Outdoor parties offer children the unique chance to run around in a big space, feel the fresh air and have loads of fun with their friends. Many outdoor birthday party venues, like our activity centres, will also offer a large variety of activities and extra smiles from the party-goers.
Choose a theme
Does your child have a particular passion or hobby? Why not turn this into the an inventive theme for your child's next birthday. Or, to match the outdoor setting why not add a note in your child's birthday invitations to friends requesting them to dress up as their favourite literary adventure characters or woodland creatures.
Pick a date
Don’t worry what the weather is up to as all outdoor adventures means fun in the fresh air. Come rain or shine your children’s party will be fun no matter what. Plus, if you book a Kingswood party we make sure there is always a plan B for a rainy day with our selection of indoor activities and sports hall facilities.
Send out your themed birthday invitations
Now that you have your theme arranged, make sure to send out your themed invitations to all your child’s friends.
Start thinking about some great games and activities
Scavenger hunt – Look for items in nature and create a point system for the children to find particular items to return or capture as a picture
Egg and spoon race – Creating healthy competition as part of an egg and spoon race is a perfect way to get the party started
Three-legged race – Collect some bandannas or scarves to tie legs together for a three-legged race. Why not add a prize for the first to fall?
Relay races – Why not upgrade your race and make it a dress up relay race? This is a great photo opportunity.
Put together a party bag that your children’s friends will love
Why not carry on with your theme and collect some treats and gifts that your guests will take away and treasure forever. If you had a woodland theme, you could place a compass or some smores ingredients to toast on a campfire in your guests' party bags.
Plan the food
After all the activities your children and guests will be hungry so don’t forget the party treats and certainly not the cake. Try and keep the theme running with the food too… you could have a crown shaped birthday cake for your Kings and Queens?
Relax and enjoy the party!
Have fun! You have done all the hard work now sit back and watch your children have a great adventure in the great outdoors.
