In April 2017, the government introduced changes to the way businesses fund apprenticeship training to improve the quality and quantity of apprenticeships, opening up more employment opportunities to young people.
As an award-winning apprenticeship provider, Kingswood is passionate about apprenticeships and making the most of your funding, so we’ve compiled a guide to the most commonly asked questions about the Apprenticeship Levy.
What is the apprenticeship levy?
The apprenticeship levy is a tax on employers with an annual payroll bill of over £3 million at a rate of 0.5% of their monthly payroll. This tax goes into a pot which the employer then has two years to spend on the training and development of apprentices.
