Five reasons why spring is perfect for group trips
As we come out of the dark winter months and head into the buzz of spring, groups may need a refreshing trip to recharge their energy and nurture the group dynamic away from the usual setting. Here are our top five reasons why spring is a great time of year to have a residential adventure.
1. It is quieter than peak season
Although summer time is a popular time of year for residential trips, opting to have the experience with your group out of peak season will mean you can get just as much out of your trip whilst saving on the pennies. In addition, you will have more activities to choose from while the centres are quieter, so your experience can be really varied. Plus, you’re more likely to spend additional time with our dedicated and passionate team who will have fewer groups to look after.
2. Better weather and longer days
Naturally, spring means longer days with more hours of daylight. This means you can enjoy the outdoor activities in the fresh, crisp air and while the sun is shining your group will get some of that lovely vitamin D. Plus you’d be able to stay outside for your evening entertainment for even longer while the weather stays nice (hopefully, this is the UK after all!).
3. It’s something for the group to look forward to
Throughout the colder months, it’s always great to have something to keep in mind to look forward to, such as a residential trip. The promise of going on an adventure when the seasons are changing will keep spirits up as the group looks forward to the change of scenery and new challenges.
4. A chance to reflect on the year so far
Take the time to reflect and remind yourselves of what your goals for the year are and what mission you are on as a group. Take advantage of the range of activities to help. There’s plenty to choose from to nurture different skills and encourage teamwork, plus the chance to bond with each other in the evenings, meaning you can return with a fresh mindset.
5. Our centres blossom with nature!
Each of our centres provides a beautiful backdrop in spring, each with something to celebrate. From the beautiful views of the Peak District at Peak Venture, to the wildlife spotted at Dearne Valley and the Isle of Wight, each centre has something to celebrate (read more in our Kingswood Spring Watch guide).
