Lifeskills are those skills or characteristics that create the building blocks enabling students to reach their own real potential. Areas such as planning, communication, influencing skills, problem solving, team working and self awareness are all difficult to consider within the confines of a classroom.
This course is delivered by specialist Lifeskills tutors - our very best instructors who have completed a specific development programme.
Working on a ratio of no greater than 12:1, participants are taken through a step-by-step process that combines exploratory group exercises with practical hands-on learning opportunities whether in a caving system, team challenge session or on a high ropes course.
The aim is to build confidence, help individuals develop a better understanding of themselves and a clearer understanding of the principles of team working. Individuals are encouraged to create their own personal development agenda & reinforce this with action points to build upon when they return to school.
The Academy can be combined with our In-School Lifeskills programme for a more progressive learning experience.
