Kingswood: Totland Bay to Freshwater Bay study

This study, which takes in the amazing sight of the Needles, looks at some of the key features created by the eroding power of the sea. By travelling to the far western point of the island it is possible to see stacks and stumps at both Alum and Freshwater Bays. Their form-ation may be explained in part by the unique geology of the area, which can be clearly viewed at Alum and Whitecliff Bays. The geology of Whitecliff Bay may be studied as part of this module, or can be selected as a half day case study.
