Kingswood: Newport urban study

(Full day study)

Newport is a bustling market town with narrow streets, wide squares and riverside quays. It is the island's 'capital' and administrative centre. Students investigate the central business district (CBD) and relate it to recognised urban land use models.

Fieldwork: Land use mapping, environmental quality index, pedestrian/traffic counts, parking facilities, questionnaires.
