Kingswood: Blakeney Point Sand Dune Succession

Blakeney Point is a renowned nature reserve of international importance. Students examine the Psammosere succession and the ecosystem dynamics. They then review the difficulties of ecosystem management in such a diverse and dynamic site.

Fieldwork: Dune profile; quadrat analysis (transect); soil chemical analysis (pH, nitrate, phosphate, potassium, temperature).
