At its heart, the Isle of Wight centre's five residential buildings—including an all-weather activity zone—border a tree-lined lane, creating the feel of a college campus & the hub of site activity. Other facilities include state-of-the-art ICT labs, a cinema complex, environmental classrooms and student recreational areas.
The Educational Activity centre has a thrilling adventure activity programme and facilities include quad and kart tracks, a high ropes challenge course, indoor and outdoor climbing facilities, archery ranges, swimming pool, fencing studio, underground caving complex, abseiling towers and zip wire. In the Summer the centre is a registered AALA centre and offers a watersports programme.

The nearby coastline is a fossil-rich designated Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) which makes this one of the most perfect field study centre on the Isle of Wight. An abundance of estuaries and scattered sand dunes create ideal features for study, as do inland rivers crossing chalk downs. Just over the ridge is Sandown, a Victorian seaside resort where current trends in tourism dictate local economic prosperity. Fieldwork courses may be selected in any combination and specialise within geography, biology geology and environmental science. All programmes can be adapted to meet the teaching syllabus of your school. An experienced member of our Field Studies team will call you prior to your visit to discuss your specific field study requirements.

Car and passenger ferries from Southampton (arriving at East Cowes) and Portsmouth (arriving at Fishbourne), follow directions to Ryde then go through the town towards Sandown on the A3055. Before the village of Brading turn left on the B3330 signposted St Helens. Once in St Helens turn right onto the B3395 signposted Bembridge. Drive through the village one way system, at roundabout go straight ahead onto Hillway Road. Our Centre is 1/4 mile on the left.
