Explore - History, Language & Culture Our excursion programme has been comprehensively researched and prepared by educationalists and local experts so that visiting schools can get the maximum benefit from their stay. Kingswood provides comprehensive student workpacks and detailed study outlines for visiting teachers, with all study options linking to the National Curriculum. Kingswood staff accompany all visiting groups and have been trained to support student learning through strong local knowledge and a sound understanding of the study opportunities available. On Hand Support The Kingswood excursion programme is designed to be as flexible as possible allowing schools to design their own tour itinerary and make the absolute most of their stay. Throughout the visit, our staff will be on hand to assist, guide and make sure that everything runs to plan. Excellent Excursions This area of France is particularly popular with visiting school groups as it is steeped in history and offers great opportunities to explore and under-stand French culture. Tours of the battlefields of WWI give a solemn, yet fascinating insight into one of the most important periods of modern history whilst local produce visits give a fun hands-on experience of cheese, cider & bread making. Cities such as Rouen (the historic capital of Normandy) and Arras illustrate over 2000 years of French culture and can also be combined with visits to Boulogne and the world class Nausicaä Exhibition or even a trip to the capital itself - Paris.
