Every Kingswood educational activity centre places a strong emphasis on outdoor education, strong activity and field study programmes and rich educational delivery. Our Residential activity centres are located in Wales, Staffordshire, The Peak and Lake District, Norfolk and The Isle of Wight we also operate from a French Chateau at Dieppe. We aim to offer a great deal more than an outdoor education centre with a balanced all-round learning experience. The sites encompass warm, secure dormitory accommodation, healthy, nutritious food that appeals to young tastes, exciting adventure activities, awe-inspiring ICT equipment and extensive indoor and outdoor activity areas. Despite the common links in high quality and standards, each centre retains its own distinctive character, making it possible to seek a unique Kingswood experience in completely different corners of the UK.
We strive to offer more than just outdoor education, our educational courses cover all areas of the National Curriculum from Key Stage 2 to A level and we also cater for Gifted and Talented, transition and motivation groups. Modules cover areas such as ICT, The Environment, Music, History, Science, Field Studies and within our adventure activities programme we include personal development, teambuilding and areas of PSHE and Citizenship.
Our adventure activity zones combine outdoor field space with purpose-built indoor activity halls, giving unrivalled facilities for year-round visitors. From high-adrenaline ‘thrillers’, such as the high ropes course or zipwire, to team building favourites such as team challenge and nightline, to highly skilled target pursuits like fencing and archery - there will always be an activity lined up for your next session, whatever the weather.
The secluded rural or coastal locations of our sites offer infinite outdoor opportunities for environmental field studies, educational excursions, woodland walks, outdoor education, nature trails, treasure hunts or beach games. Many explore the local area whilst they are with us.
