Staying away from home

Many of our young guests at Kingswood are staying away from their home and family for the first time. We understand this and that is why our centres are such welcoming places with friendly staff, smiling faces and excellent pastoral care facilities. We also have First Aid points with caring First Aiders should they be needed. We recommend that to make the transition easier and to allow them to settle in and enjoy the centre lifestyle, family members leave a few days after arrival on centre before they speak with them. We often find that a feeling of homesickness does lessen after a few days with so much adventure and activity going on!

Outstanding facilities, exquisite locations

It has taken us many years to establish our national network of centres. Each has been chosen for its very special characteristics that make it a particularly extraordinary place to stay. This might be a fantastic beach, a beautiful valley, or even a delightfully compact campus or a unique sense of heritage. Whichever centre your group will be visiting, you can be assured of a warm welcome and our highest standards of care. Young people sleep in warm purpose-built dormitory-style accommodation, with gender-separated bathroom and shower facilities. Sheets, duvets and pillows are provided for all guests. Teacher rooms are at the end of each corridor.

To fuel young guests during a long day of thrilling adventure activities, we serve three hot meals per day, with lots of choice and seasonal variations. Each day there is a carefully balanced and nutritional meal plan, recently updated to meet and exceed the latest Government standards on children’s meals.
