Learning Objective:
By the end of this module pupils will learn key skills about themselves and their classmates, through team problem solving models.
Overview:
Lifeskills is an experiential learning programme specifically designed to focus on developing key skills. Throughout the course pupils are taught to use a simple problem-solving model of Plan > Do > Review that can be transferred back to school.
Outcome:
Lifeskills aims to create a memorable learning experiences and provides pupils with a simple, clear strategy for tackling problem solving situations. Pupils learn that:
- Success is built on cooperation not confrontation
- Nobody plans to fail, they just fail to plan
- If you identify a problem you should propose a solution.
The course is designed to suit participants of all abilities; it promotes key skills and acts as a stepping-stone for personal development.
