About Field Studies
Field studies skills are an integral part of geography and biology programmes, and at Kingswood, our courses are designed to meet the latest exam board requirememnts, from GCSE to A2 and Advanced Highers. Every year, thousands of students join us for a truly memorable visit that improves study skills and brings learning to life, ewuipping them both for their exams and for future learning.
Our 3 national field study centres offer students and teachers the opportunity to share in our belief that every child should have the freedom to open their minds to their own true potential. Our dedication to this aim is endorsed by our commitment to government initiatives and legislation including ‘Every Child Matters’ and the ‘Learning Outside the Classroom Manifesto’. Our stated pledge; to strive to create, above all else, centres of excellence, places where young people from all backgrounds, abilities, races and religions can learn about each other and about the world around them with a fun, safe, open and educational environment.
Kingswood’s Field Studies Centres are part of the wider Kingswood Group, operating 9 educational activity centres across the UK and Northern France. The organisation has a wealth of educational adventure experience, belonging to the Education Travel Group, welcoming 250,000 children every year on a huge range of European education, language and cultural tours, including school ski tours, children’s summer adventure holidays and worldwide school group adventures.
