overstrand Location

Kingswood Centre, Overstrand Hall, 48 Cromer Road, Norfolk, NR27 0JJ.

I can’t really emphasise enough the admiration and appreciation we, as staff, had for Overstrand. The staff’s boundless energy and encouragement was quite contagious and therefore the children really bought into the whole Kingswood experience.Chris Barrow, Bedford Modern School

Overstrand Hall Activity Centre

Stately Setting

Drive through the gates of Overstrand Hall, along the wooded driveway and you are greeted by a spectacular grand Lutyens Manor House, which forms the heart of this country estate. Captivating children’s imagination with images of armoured knights and regal queens, this is the ideal setting for a school residential. Originally designed in 1901 as a lord and lady’s country home, Overstrand’s many uses range from entertaining royalty, to a miner’s convalescent home. However, the centre has by far the best use lovingly transformed into a superb residential educational activity centre.

Great For All Ages

Nestled right beside the beach in a beautiful area of North Norfolk, this rural setting really gives children the opportunity to get out into the outdoors, back to nature and take advantage of the remoteness, even stargazing at night. Overstrand Hall caters well to all age groups and operates most Kingswood programmes including ICT, science, personal development and lifeskills.

Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty

Set along a coastline designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, as one of our dedicated Environmental Field Studies centres, fieldwork modules may be selected according to your schools exam board from within geography, geology, biology and environmental science. Led by our dedicated Environmental Instructor Team, all programmes can be adapted to meet the teaching syllabus of your school.

Woodland Adventure Park

This tranquil, stately setting gives way to an exhilarating adventure activity park set amongst pretty landscaped and wooded gardens close to the main building. It is here that pupils can face challenging adventures ranging from an artificial caving system, woodland problem solving course, low ropes, solve a whole series of demanding initiative exercises, fire an arrow or learn to fence. Our new high ropes course includes daring and challenging elements like jungle vines, jacob’s ladder and high all aboard.

Heritage Meets Modern

The grand manor House with its Tudor Room and Knight’s Table Room is complemented by a modern atrium which leads through to the funky American style diner and recreational areas. Sweeping corridors lead to clean and comfortable accommodation areas, excellent ICT labs and environmental classrooms. Coded security gates with CCTV and boundary fencing keep the site safe and secure.
