We are undertaking a multi-million pound investment programme to open a new Kingswood centre at Dearne Valley in South Yorkshire in 2012.

Exciting programmes

Alongside our existing courses designed to complement current curricula Kingswood Dearne Valley will offer an innovative educational programme focused on environmental sustainability. Topics will include sustainable development and living, the impact of mankind on nature, conservation and environmental protection, cultural history, and the industrial heritage of the area.

Unrivalled facilities

Enjoying an established parkland setting, the centre will initially accommodate 400 pupils.   The centre itself boasts a unique range of facilities, including wind and solar power, waste water harvesting, biodiversity, recycling and new ICT labs – all of which will give students the chance to gain hands-on experience.

Young people will enjoy a wide range of activities in the on-site adventure park, which will incorporate a high-adrenaline ropes course, and low height initiative exercises, as well as access to a large indoor sports hall. After dark we will offer a choice of evening entertainments, including indoor and outdoor amphitheatres and performing arts facilities.
